Cranial Planner Software

The Cranial Planner software is a standalone application that runs on a basic workstation, laptop or tablet for use in theatre to load patient images, segment them into different tissues, allows the definition of reference points and structures and uploads via Wi-Fi to HoloLens headsets or to The Cloud for use with handheld devices and smart phones.

Simple PACS Integration

Patient images can be searched for and downloaded from standard PACS servers or loaded directly as DICOM files from disc.

A simple, intuitve user interface makes patient, series and sequence selection easy.

Segmentation, Object Definition & Model Generation

A 3-dimensional patient model is generated with layers of tissue, segmented using Hounsfield unit threshold levels.

Facilitates the generation of reference points and 3-dimensional relevant structures such as tumours, bleeds and ventricles.

The model generated here represents the holographic model seen once uploaded to the HoloLens headset.

Reference Image Reconstructions

Source axial, coronal and sagittal reconstructions can be visualised relative to the model.

Windowing can be configured and images are saved in full resolution for upload, allowing the surgeon to reference them as needed.

Wi-Fi Upload to Devices

Once complete the surgical plan can be uploaded directly via Wi-Fi to the HoloLens-based Operator application for use in theatre or uploaded to a server for use by the Operator application running on an augmented-reality capable device such as an iPhone or iPad
